1. Cranky Phonecalls

This four-channel track has been produced in 1994 on my beloved Amiga 1200 and was used in the 2nd issue of ROM, the diskmag by Essence. It represents all the diskmag tracks I did during that time since I think that most of my fame in the Amiga scene has been gained by releasing so many tracks for those kind of productions.

For the track itself, it's really relaxing without becoming too clich, at least that's what I think. This version even features a trumpet hook that had to be deleted from the version used in ROM because of size issues. At that time, most diskmags fitted on one disk...

2. Switchback

Probably the most famous track I did during my Amiga activities, released in Switchback by Rebels, a demo that won the Doom's Day Party in autumn 1994. It's certainly not the most musical piece on this collection but the poppy arpeggios and synth-chords still have their charm.

This track has been chosen because I really loved the time around the early and mid 90s, all the great parties with so much fun. The Doom's Day party was one of the best parties I ever visited, mainly because of the massive amount of alcoholic beverages and crazy people.

3. Dadoob!

got 1st at the takeover 2001 tracked music competition. It's a mutlichannel track done with Fasttracker and features a hell lot of channels and notes. I remember that it had been a shitload of work to create this track but with all the different parts I must say that it's one of my better tunes. What I like about it is the catchy melody and the part when the piano chords are taking over.

4. We believe

got 2nd at the Takeover 2001 streamed music competition but has been encoded from a Fasttracker module. With some heavy guitar-riffs and the mandoline there is a mixture that generates quite an energetic track. Until now,

I think this one is my best demo-track but unfortunately, it has never been used in a demo. It's really cool to see it on this compilation again, though. Takeover has also been a cool party because I could ride that car from the back to the future movies, a De Lorean. Quite an experience. Also the party place really ruled so it's a pitty that Takeover isn't held anymore.

5. The Chase

got 3rd at the mekka symposium 2000 tracked music competition where I delivered it under a fake handle. Shame on me, I know... After the winner of the tracked music competition got disqualified, this one got third and the other one I handed in (roboloud) won the competition.

I suspect it was namevoting, as this track is much better than the winning one. The Chase has been composed for a Talent demo that has never been released and I got some terrific sample help by optic of talent. The overall ambience of this track is a chasing scene in a bad 70s gangster movie. I hope ya can dig the groove... hehe.
